The longest seaside promenade in Turkey

The longest seafront promenade in Turkey is in Marmaris – it stretches for 12 kilometres from the village of İçmeler, past the Atatürk monument, and towards the old fortress. It’s clean and lovely here: the sound of the sea is soothing, and the stunning views of the bay, mountains, palm trees and hotels are truly captivating.

The Marmaris promenade is one of the longest in Turkey – a perfect place for a leisurely stroll while enjoying the sea breeze and scenic views. It’s great for cycling, scootering or rollerblading, and the local cafés serve both traditional Turkish dishes and European favourites. After a tasty dinner, you can take a dip in the clear waters of the Aegean Sea and simply unwind, leaving everyday worries behind.

During the day, the promenade is full of vibrant colours: the blue sea blends with green palm trees and blooming flowerbeds, while the sun glistens on the calm waves. From the nearby hills, you get a breathtaking view of the bay – ideal for boat trips in Marmaris and peaceful relaxation. Both locals and tourists love this area for its cosy atmosphere and the chance to escape the hustle and bustle of city life.

As evening falls, the promenade turns into a lively entertainment hub. The lights from hotels, restaurants and bars create a magical glow, and the view of the town from the water is simply stunning. One of the highlights is the dancing fountains show, which draws big crowds every night. A walk along the seafront takes around 2–3 hours – just enough time to soak in the beauty of the resort and enjoy the carefree holiday vibe.
